bueno che, suerte y chifla pa ver como te fue. Installing PICSTART Plus and MPLAB ----------------------------------------------------------- If you are upgrading PICSTART Plus, be sure to install the version of MPLAB included with PICSTART Plus. To use PICSTART Plus, invoke MPLAB and enable the programmer as described in the PICSTART Plus User's Guide. Updating PICSTART Plus Firmware: Where possible, new device support on old firmware is allowed. Some new devices, however, require the firmware update. Directions for upgrading the firmware on your PICSTART Plus programmer are as follows. Required Equipment: 1. Currently operating Picstart Plus Programmer with MPLAB Software. 2. Erased PIC17C44 microcontroller. 4. PSF20100.HEX file. 3. Phillips head screwdriver. Procedure: 1. Connect the Picstart Plus programmer to computer serial port, and invoke the MPLAB software. 2. IMPORTANT: Choose Options>Development Mode and select "Editor Only." 3. Enable the Picstart Plus programmer, and select the 17C44 microcontroller. 4. Import the file PSF20100.HEX into the buffer. Note the settings. They should be: Processor: 17C44 OSC: XT Processor Mode; Microcontroller Watchdog Timer: TMR 5. Insert the blank 17C44 microcontroller into Picstart Plus socket. 6. Program the device. 7. Remove the 17C44 from the programming socket, and label VER 2.00.00 8. Exit MPLAB and disconnect the Picstart Plus from the computer serial port and Power supply. 9. Carefully remove the 4 Phillips head screws from the Picstart Plus. 10. Remove the Picstart Plus PCB from the housing. 11. Carefully remove the PIC17C44 marked U21 from the Picstart Plus Programmer. NOTE: Save this version to ensure future upgrades are possible. 12. Carefully insert the just programmed PIC17C44 (labeled VER 2.00.00) into the socket, while observing the proper orientation of Pin 1. (Pin 1 should be close to the serial port connector). 13. Re-assemble the Picstart Plus programmer into the plastic housing. 14. Carefully insert the Phillips head screws and tighten slowly as the plastic housing can be damaged if too much torque is applied to the screws. 15. Connect the Picstart Plus programmer to computer serial port and power supply. 16. Install new MPLAB software and Picstart Plus software by following the instructions found in the file README.LAB. 17. Invoke the MPLAB software and enable the Picstart Plus programmer. 18. Dialog box should indicate that the Picstart Plus firmware version is 2.00.00. 19. Your Picstart Plus is now updated with the latest firmware! |
